iconic product, the "SPORTIF."

 

 

First, let's look at this.

Introducing The 2 Monkeys SPORTIF "2" Chamonix.

 

The 2 Monkeys Sportif 2 Chamonix 【TM82948】

 

The two-tone "Chamonix."

 

Perhaps some of you might think that "two-tone"

is difficult to coordinate, but in fact,

it's quite easy to match.

 

I recommend pairing it with chinos.

 

It also looks good with trousers.

I also personally like it with denim.

 

Two-tone is actually easy to match once you try it,

so please try it on at the store.

～Product Description～

This is a modified version of the Sportif with changes to the quarter and backstay design,

and it is named Sportif "2."

 

The two-tone white and black Sportif "2" is named

Chamonix.

 

It uses a firmer leather than the Sportif Black Calf,

but the leather quality is still soft, and it's comfortable to wear.

 

The manufacturing method, which combines Goodyear welt and McKay, and

the toe box that molds to your feet as you wear them, are common to 'Sportif'.

The E-width last provides a slightly relaxed fit...

 

The comfort of the arch support on the shaped waist leather is

the same as the classic Sportif.

 

US8 and 8.5 are available at WEST, so

please try them on in-store.

The 2 Monkeys Sportif Bordeaux Vachetta 【TM81935】

 

 

The Bordeaux Sportif with a deep, reddish hue.

 

 

 

Unlike the French Calf Black, this Bordeaux may feel stiff at first,

but it is made of "Vachetta Leather" that is rich in oil, so

as you wear it, the leather will soften, and the color's shading will become more pronounced,

allowing you to fully enjoy its aging.

 

As explained for Sportif "2,"

Sportif Bordeaux also uses a construction that combines Goodyear welt and McKay,

making it a boot with a good appearance from every angle.

 

I paired it with cargo pants in the photos, but

it's also an outstanding leather boot when combined with denim or chinos.

For the 407EXX, the back becomes a split-back (T-BACK) specification

from size L upwards.

 

Among customers who can wear size M,

some intentionally go up one size to L

because it has a split-back.

 

The same applies to the 301EXX, which will be introduced later.

The denim fabric has been engineered to have prominent slubs,

resulting in a highly uneven texture.

It will develop excellent vertical fading.

Last Resort's black tag, which was released exactly one year ago the other day.

 

We, the WEST staff, have also

carefully worn and aged it.

As you can see from the images,

the vertical fading is quite evident.

 

When you look at the denim we wear,

the color fading is different, but that is also one of the charms of denim.

 

The "black tag" series

is positioned as 1940s XX fabric.

 

Although it is a darker denim,

the factories were producing "S506XX, S501XX" until the end of the war in 1945,

and there was leftover fabric from these.

 

The "material control" enacted during the war was lifted,

and both the top and bottom details returned to pre-war styles,

but it didn't happen immediately, taking several years to transition to new fabrics.

 

The model with the new fabric is the late 1947 type.

 

Because this black tag denim is from the transitional period before the new fabric was adopted,

it is a darker denim fabric.

 

The early 1947 model is JELADO's 407EXX / 301EXX.

 

Reservations for these are also being accepted in-store,

so please come and try them on in-store.
