U.S.Navy Dungaree Jumper 【CT12316】

A shawl-collar coverall issued to the US NAVY in the 1940s.

For Vintage, if you mention 'NAVY',

I wonder if many people would point to these shawl-collar coveralls?

with our original fabric

'LASTRESORT' blue tag.

It's a 10.5oz light ounce denim,

and by weaving three different thicknesses of warp threads,

an irregular vertical fading is visible.

And it's also lightweight,

making it a versatile piece for the upcoming season.

The collar is definitely worth noting.

It's called a shawl collar or reefer collar.

And pay attention to the buttons.

These are brass buttons.

The history of these coveralls

dates back to the late 1930s.

The buttons feature an anchor mark

*What are change buttons?

Before washing machines became widespread,

washboards were used.

To prevent damage to the fabric from buttons,

removable buttons were used.

This is an old detail seen on 1940s coveralls.

It pairs well with chino pants,
