The base for Age of Longing 407EXX is,

as you probably know, the 40s LEVI'S 506XX.

The history of the 1st model is long, and according to the materials I have,

the 506XX existed in 1904,

so based on these materials, it's a model that has existed for 120 years.

 

On July 1, 1937, with Chris Lucia's proposal,

the red tab, which is now standard, was first attached to the 506XX.

 

Time passed, and then World War II...

 

During this era, when changes in details were unavoidable due to material controls,

LEVI'S also faced this problem.

 

The previous five buttons were changed to four buttons,

and the company-branded buttons were replaced with laurel wreath buttons.

The model with the chest pocket flap removed is

the "LEVI'S S506XX,"

popularly known as the "War Model."

Jelado offers it as a leather jacket

 

 

released under the name "44Leather Jacket."

After the war, material controls were lifted,

so LEVI'S was in the process of returning to its original details, and the LEVI'S company was

about to announce new denim, but

a new problem arose.

 

The fabric used for the war model

was still abundant in the factory.

While cost was likely a factor,

they entered a transitional period where they would use up this fabric before

switching to new denim.

 

Jelado's Age of Longing 407EXX

focuses on the LEVI'S 506XX from this transitional period,

 

 

we use a very dark denim.

It is a slubby fabric with strong irregularities.

 

 

With repeated wear, it will age,

creating a random vertical fade like falling rain.

 

The 15oz thickness and dark color

of the 1st type 407EXX have the following detail characteristics:

 

・Single pocket only on the left side

・Red tab is single-sided

 

・Narrow waistband (compared to 406XX)

・Buckle-back cinch

・15oz

 

Above the waistband on the back, there is a cinch buckle,

which is used to adjust the size.

 

This popular item is finally available for pre-order,

so please try it on in-store, confirm the fit, and then place your reservation.
