This short-length shirt, popular every year, retains the charm of old America while being updated for modern wear. The sleeves are slightly narrower than traditional flannel shirts, the body is tighter, and the length is a bit shorter.
The difference from the other regular-length flannel shirt is clearly noticeable when worn in a just size. Compared to the regular-length one, this has wider shoulders, a narrower body, and slightly longer arms.

In the 18th century, the northeastern and inland parts of North America were French territory. Frenchmen traveled through these uncharted lands to trade furs and hunt beavers with the indigenous people. While there is no documentation proving they wore leather jackets, it's possible that they, who had the deepest interactions with the North American natives who had a custom of wearing leather garments since that era, created and wore leather jackets incorporating French fashion styles of the time (around 1750). This jacket, a sleeved waistcoat from that period, is designed based on such a hypothesis. It incorporates numerous details reflecting European styles of the time, such as curved sleeves, unique armhole curves, special back seams for shaping, and gussets at the hem, creating a unique leather jacket. The camel version uses shrunken horsehide with a rough texture, preserving irregular and natural wrinkles, scars, and other unique characteristics of the leather. The oak brown version is smooth horsehide that retains its natural texture. It's finished with black dye, allowing for an enjoyable aging process where the deep dark brown fades to reveal hints of black. Both are vegetable-tanned.
It's wonderful to have a leather jacket designed based on a historical hypothesis, giving it an original feel.
It comes in two colors, and the oak brown is the same color as VAUDEVILLE【TM83933】.
