JELADO Van Nuys Pharaoh Jacket【SG03411】

 

 

 

The multi-colored ribbed pharaoh jacket, which has become quite rare to find even in vintage stores now.

 

This time, we recreated a pharaoh jacket from scratch, using a rare wool pique fabric for the body.

 

We used three types of yarn for the warp, including strong worsted wool spun domestically with characteristics similar to British wool, making it resistant to losing its shape, and twisting nep yarn and kemp yarn 1:1.

 

 

 

 

The large ribbed collar is also a distinctive feature.

 

 

 

The edges of the pockets are accented with cowhide.

 

 

 

 

For the fabric finishing, we carefully avoided excessive kneading

 

and minimized washing time and low-temperature fulling to create a tweed finish that brings out the material's texture,

 

resulting in a natural fabric finish that evokes the same atmosphere as vintage pieces.

 

 

Instead of quilting, the lining uses a patterned cupro, giving it a different impression from previous pieces.

 

 

 

As vintage items from the 1950s continue to rise in price,

 

the pharaoh jacket is one of the representative outerwear pieces from that era.

 

It's a versatile piece that can be worn oversized over leather,

 

or paired with an open-collar shirt to enjoy the 1950s style.

features a cut cinch back, which is often seen cut in reality,

achieving a more authentic look by reproducing that detail.
