Today, we'd like to introduce a JELADO classic,

which many customers have been waiting for.

Here is the product.

JELADO Smoker Shirt Indigo Chambray【JP94112】

 

 

 

It is based on a shirt from the workwear brand "BIG YANK"

from the 1930s to 40s.

.

 

Customers who visit JELADO

may know that

this shirt is packed withspecial details.

 

First, the most notable feature is the asymmetrical pockets.

 

In vintage circles, this is called

"Gacha Pocket."

 

*This detail was trademarked in 1929,

and its official name is the Convenient Pocket.

 

The vertical one is a pen holder.

 

 

The smaller pocket features a

 

 

"cigarette pocket."

 

This pocket is for cigarettes,

and to prevent cigarettes from getting damp with sweat,

a bag stitch is used, a detail also reproduced here.

 

 

 

The armholes, underarms, and hem are all triple-stitched.

 

This is for stitch reinforcement, but also,

washing and tumble drying will tighten the fabric.

This creates a unique texture, allowing you to enjoy the vintage-like aging.

 

The gusset at the hem is a detail found in old shirts,

where a triangular piece of cloth is sewn to prevent the seam between the front and back panels from tearing.
