Notice of Price Revision for Classic Items: Last Resort Tea Tag Edition ~Flagship Store~

Thank you for always visiting our store.

This series reintroduces our standard items in conjunction with the price revision.

This time, we will bring you the "Last Resort Brown Tag Edition".

41 Khaki Lastresort Chino Cloth【AG94341A】¥36,300 JPY

Similar to the Last Resort denim, we dismantled a vintage M41 Khaki and analyzed its fabric. Based on the knowledge gained,we thoroughly reproduced the yarn thickness, unevenness shape, twist count, and twist direction.

For the raw cotton, we used JELADO's classic American Deep South cotton, achieving a natural slub yarn.

We are also particular about the dyeing method. While previous 41 Khaki models used reactive dyes developed in the 1950s, this Last Resort 41 Khaki is dyed with vat dyes, similar to vintage pieces.

As you wear and wash them, they will fade, taking on an appearance just like vintage items.

The pockets feature extremely thin welt specifications, which are very difficult to sew.

The belt loops are also reproduced with the same offset as vintage pieces.

41 Khaki Last Resort Chino Cloth Stencil【AG94341B】¥38,500 JPY

Additionally, we also offer a custom version with a "PW" stencil as a standard item.

This is a powerful item featuring a "PW" stencil (initials for Prisoner of War).

The "PW" stencil was applied to clothing worn by prisoners of war during WWII. Such items are extremely rare and highly sought after in the used clothing market.

Since each stencil is applied by hand, there are slight individual differences, just like genuine vintage items.

Just as the 41 Khaki body fades, the "PW" stencil also fades with repeated washing. This model offers a highly enjoyable aging process.

41Khaki Vintage Finish【AG02311】

We also have models with a vintage finish like this one.

The paint was reproduced from a collection of fabric scraps over 70 years old.

This is a limited stock (XL size), so the price remains unchanged. If the size fits, please consider it.

Summary

We have brought you three installments on our standard items. We hope you will continue to support JELADO's Last Resort.

〜USMC M44 Monkey Pants〜

【Pre-order item, expected arrival early March】Monkey Trousers【CT11344】

USMC M44 Monkey Pants were issued to the Marine Corps,

and are popular items in the vintage industry,

affectionately known as "Monkey Pants."

The origin of their name is as follows...

Long, horizontal cargo pockets with flaps.

These large pockets were adopted to hold a 'poncho',

and the flaps were included to prevent the contents from falling out.

These pockets are said to resemble the buttocks of a monkey,

hence the name "Monkey Pants."

The manufacturing period of the M44 was actually very short, lasting only 1 year and 3 months, from July 1944 to around October 1945.

Furthermore, because they were issued to the "elite few" of the U.S. Marine Corps,

the overall production volume was low, leading to very high prices in the vintage market.

The period during which the U.S. Marine Corps actually wore them was...

・Battle of Iwo Jima (February 19 - March 26, 1945)

・Around the Battle of Okinawa (March 26 - September 7, 1945).

Also, after World War II, during

・the Korean War (June 25, 1950 - July 27, 1953)

it seems they were widely worn.

JELADO's Monkey Pants use herringbone material,

and are dyed with vat dyes.

And the buttons are doughnut buttons, which also creates a vintage feel.

 By wearing them consistently,

you can enjoy their aging process.

It pairs very well with native-patterned half-length coats

leather jackets, and even

coveralls.

We also recommend pairing it with a chambray shirt.

Please make your reservation at our store or online.

Thank you.
