Today, I would like to introduce the white version of our classic Smoker Shirt.
JELADO Smoker Shirt White【JP94113】
The fabric used is broadcloth, a tightly plain-woven fabric made from fine cotton threads.
Normally, this type of elegant fabric is used for dress shirts, but because it incorporates work shirt details, it surprisingly pairs well with American casual style when worn unironed.
When paired with wide-leg denim like this, you can create a unique American casual style.
The design is based on the "Gacha-Pock" work shirt from "BIG YANK" in the 1930s.
As the name "Gacha-Pock" suggests, it has pockets of different shapes on the left and right.
The smaller pocket on the left is a cigarette pocket, which is the origin of the name "smoker shirt." In the 1930s, cigarette packs were not wrapped in cellophane, so the pockets were designed as pouches to prevent cigarettes from getting wet when workers sweated.
Although it's hard to see because it's sewn with white thread of the same color, triple stitching is used in various places to ensure the sturdiness characteristic of a work shirt.
The gusset is intentionally made without a selvedge, using a French seam.
This is because some original "BIG YANK" items from that era used French seams.
Hexagonal buttons, which were used on old work shirts, are adopted.
Also, cotton thread is used for sewing, so puckering will appear as it is washed.
Starting now, we've also begun offering a big size 50 (equivalent to 5XL).

JELADO Smoker Shirt Cotton&Linen Indigo check pattern fabric【JP11117】
As a spot item for this season, we've also released a version made with indigo check fabric of 78% cotton and 22% linen.
The indigo areas will gradually fade with wear and washing, allowing you to enjoy the aging process.
With its smooth feel, I think you can enjoy it until early summer.
So, currently, we offer smoker shirts in various materials at our stores.
