Today, I'd like to talk about our newly arrived leather items.

 

It's September, and we have new leather items in stock. Many people seem to be looking for leather items, and when I see them, I can't help but think, "I want to wear this," and "This is cool!"

 

As leather enthusiasts know, there are various materials and designs of leather, each with its own unique characteristics. And it's truly fascinating to see them mature into unique leather jackets as you continue to wear them. Not only leather, but denim also deepens in character the more you wear it, expanding the enjoyment.

 

So, this time, I'd like to introduce the new leather items that have arrived at JELADO.

 

 

JELADO 24/7 Leather Sports Jacket [AG72417] Price: ¥169,400 (tax included)

 

First, we have the "24/7 Sports Jacket" inspired by 1930s style. This item was named with the desire for people to wear it 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, like a convenience store. Although it's a minor brand, it's inspired by vintage designs and uses approximately 1.6mm thick horsehide, which has been chrome-tanned (tanning with a metal-based chemical called basic chromium sulfate salt) and vegetable-tanned (tanning with tannins found in plant astringents, where the hide is soaked for a long period in large water tanks (pit tanks). Vegetable-tanned leather, which combines tannins and leather proteins, becomes a light brown color dyed by the tanning agent). This process gives the leather a firm texture, and it develops a unique character with wear. After dyeing, special dyes are used to emphasize the black, further enhancing the leather's appearance.

 

Also, due to its simple design, we've used black cupro lining so it can be worn year-round, resulting in a versatile leather jacket.

 

There are so many processes involved in making a leather jacket.

It's interesting to search for a shape that suits you and to think about how to wear it.

I knew about the different types of leather, but I was once again reminded of how much effort goes into making them.

Like the leather jacket, this is a pair whose aging I'm looking forward to, so I'll be wearing them a lot. I've created an autumn-like coordination. I feel like the leather jacket alone makes me look more mature and masculine.
