This time, I'll also interject with some vintage talk,

so it will be long, but please read on.

 

Now available for pre-order,

the Age of Longing 407EXX is based on,

as you all know, the 40s LEVI'S 506XX.

The history of the 1st type is long, and according to my references,

the 506XX existed in 1904, meaning it's a model that has existed for 120 years.

 

On July 1, 1937, the red tab, which is now taken for granted, was first attached to the 506XX, based on Chris Lucia's idea.

 

Then time passed, and World War II began...

 

During this era, due to material controls, changes in details were unavoidable, and LEVI'S also faced this problem.

 

The previous 5 buttons changed to 4 buttons,

and the company-name engraved buttons were replaced with laurel wreath buttons.

And the model with the chest pocket flap removed is

the "LEVI'S S506XX,"

the very popular "WWII model," which is

JELADO offers a leather jacket

 

 

released under the name "44 Leather Jacket."

*This time, I will omit detailed information.

 

And after the war, with the lifting of material controls,

LEVI'S was returning to its original details, and the LEVI'S company

was about to announce new denim, but

a new problem arose here.

 

That problem was that the fabric used for the wartime model

was abundant in the factory.

I assume cost was a factor, but

after this fabric was used up without being discarded,

it entered a transitional period where it would switch to new denim.

 

JELADO's Age of Longing 407EXX

focuses on the LEVI'S 506XX from this transitional period,

 

 

we use a dark, blackish denim.

It is a slubby fabric with strong unevenness.

 

 

As it is worn repeatedly, it will age,

and will exhibit random vertical fading, like rainfall.

 

The 15oz thickness and dark hue of

the 1st type 407EXX's characteristic details are:

 

・Single pocket on the left side only

・Red tab is a single-sided tab

 

・Narrow waist belt (compared to 406XX)

・Pin-back cinch buckle

・15oz

 

Above the waist belt on the back, there is a cinch buckle

used for size adjustment.

 

Reservations for this popular product have finally begun,

so please try it on in store and make a reservation after confirming the fit.
