Today, I'll be introducing the products that arrived.

 

JELADO Rebel Jacket Horse Hide Semi Aniline Finish Black with Epaulets 【SG83420】

 

 

 

One of the three major US department store brands...

"Montgomery Ward"

 

A brand under Montgomery Ward,

"Wind Word"

 

created a rider's jacket with epaulets. As shown in the image below,

a jacket with two star studs on the epaulets

is called a "Two Star." (If there's only one, it's a "One Star.")

 

Jelado's Rebel Jacket is based on this Wind Ward...

The leather is approximately 1.6mm thick horsehide.

It is combination-tanned (chrome & tannin).

 

※What is combination tanning?

It's a tanning method that offers the best of both worlds,

resulting in a more natural finish in less time.

 

Chrome tanning and vegetable tanning...

When performing combination tanning, which combines these two types,

the resulting leather has a richer texture than leather that has only undergone chrome tanning.

By performing the vegetable tanning process in a shorter time than it would normally take,

we've created a leather that offers a moderate sense of weight and allows you to enjoy

the aging process with repeated wear.

 

The base is dyed light brown, then

at a long-established finishing factory in Tokyo,

it is dip-dyed black to create a tea-core leather.

This is then colored with a semi-aniline finish,

mixing pigment and dye half and half.

 

It has a softness not found in 100% pigment finishes,

and as mentioned above,

with repeated wear, the underlying

tea-core leather will subtly show through.

 

Additionally, the lining is made of quilted satin,

which increases heat retention.

Furthermore, the use of satin

makes it smooth to put on and take off,

reducing stress. Wouldn't you say this is a highly rated detail?

 

Regarding wearing photos, we will take them at a later date

and post them on this blog. Thank you for your understanding.

 

Since it's tea-core leather, it will age with repeated wear,

and look like this.

This is the aging of a Rebel Jacket (non-quilted pattern).
