This orthodox coach jacket is made of waterproof leather.

It is made of high-quality 1.1mm thick horsehide with a resin finish, making it waterproof.

As a detail inspired by motorsport, a zipper is added to the normal button front for high wind protection. Prints are applied to the front and back, following the style of nylon coach jackets.
You can enjoy the aging process as it wears out.

This coach jacket has a strong presence.

The waterproof feature is also a great advantage, allowing you to wear it more often.

The product name is taken from the streets of Southern California, a mecca for car clubs.
The value of vintage pharaoh jackets (known as car club coats in the US, which became popular in 1950s America as cold weather gear and workwear for custom car races, characterized by their longer length) has soared to an incredible degree, and now jacquard rib types made of kempi material are almost impossible to obtain. JELADO has reproduced the fabric and design from our own collection, and to make it practical for long-term use, we've added a quilted lining for warmth. We aimed for a hard-touch fabric with a substantial wool core, similar to what is used in carpets, which is rarely seen today. By strongly pressing the felting and finishing it with a firm melton, we achieved a vintage, thick yet oil-free fabric texture. Rayon raw material used for kempi yarn was sourced from France to add an accent as color kempi. We recreated a kempi melton with a rare vintage navy base. The kempi part is rayon. We sampled a 1950s PENNEYS pharaoh and tailored it similarly to the original. It features a rare design with a round yoke only on the front body. Simple details such as side adjusters and no slits are faithfully reproduced.

I also wear a VENTURA, and it's quite warm on its own.

The pockets use alpaca fur, so they're very warm.

It's less bulky than a down jacket, but it's stylish and warm, so I highly recommend it as outerwear.

My favorite feature is that I can fold the cuffs. I wanted to wear a sweatshirt underneath, so I wear a size L.

Oak Brown

In the 18th century, the northeastern to inland parts of North America were French territory. French people traveled through this undeveloped land to trade furs and hunt beavers with the indigenous people. There is no evidence that they wore leather jackets, but it is possible that they, who had the deepest interactions with the North American indigenous people who had the custom of wearing leather outerwear since that era, created and wore leather jackets that incorporated the styles of French clothing of the time (around 1750). Based on this hypothesis, we designed this sleeved waistcoat (jacket) from that era. It incorporates many details from European styles of the time, such as pre-bent (curved) sleeves, unique armhole curves, unique back seams for tightening, and hem gussets, resulting in a unique leather jacket. The camel is made of shrink-treated horsehide with a rough texture. It is leather that retains irregular and natural grain, and scars. The oak brown is smooth horsehide that retains a natural texture. It is finished with black dye, and you can enjoy the aging process as the deep dark brown fades to reveal black tones. Both are tannin-tanned.

It's great to have a leather jacket designed from a historical hypothesis, giving it an original feel.

It's available in two colors, and the Oak Brown is the same color as the VAUDEVILLE [TM83933].
