Ol’ Shanks TRUNK SHOW Announcement
We will be holding a TRUNK SHOW (order event) for the Ol’ Shanks Engineer Boot,
another boot created by Riya Suzuki.
April 27 (Sat) - 29 (Mon/Holiday)
12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
JELADO WEST
Kyoei Building 4D, 1-11-7 Kyomachibori, Nishi-ku, Osaka-shi
TEL : 06-6131-6730
E-mail:jelado.west@jelado.co.jp
The model is the 10” Engineer Boot.
Sizes available are
US6.5 (24.5cm) - US11.0 (29.0cm)
in half-size increments.
With its unique form and hand-dyed finish,
these rare engineer boots are truly one of a kind.
Due to the limited production capacity,
production is centered on orders received at 1 to 2 store events per year.
The leather is Italian horse butt.
Unlike cowhide, the horse's rump has a dense fiber structure and suppleness,
creating beautiful wrinkles.
The tiger stripes, scratches, and pinholes often seen on its surface
are all unique expressions of this leather.
While the leather's appearance and wrinkle patterns
vary from pair to pair,
each pair is beautiful and showcases the unique character of this leather.
The boots are hand-dyed by Mr. Suzuki
in five colors:
Black, Walnut (dark brown)
Mahogany (reddish dark brown)
Dark Olive, Dark Navy
Because they are dyed with aniline dyes,
the colors have a shaded quality that highlights the grain of the leather.
You can also enjoy the aging process as the color fades relatively quickly.
For black,
a "pigment finish" is also available, where the leather starts out solid black
and the brown core emerges over time.
Additionally, while sizes and quantities are limited,
you can also choose pigment pre-dyed brown-core black leather.
Soles are available in
three types: sharp single leather sole,
a specification with a leather midsole only at the front,
and a separate type using a rubber half sole.
You can also choose the color of the edge dye and stitching.
Prices are:
Hand-dyed
¥239,800 (tax included) (¥218,000 tax excluded)
Pigment black pre-dyed leather
¥220,000 (tax included) (¥200,000 tax excluded)
We look forward to seeing you along with Mr. Suzuki
from Saturday, April 27th to Monday, April 29th (holiday).

So, if you're considering it, please hurry.
The 41 Khaki stencil, which changes over time with wear and washing,

[Pre-order item, expected arrival mid-April to late April] 41 Khaki Lastresort Chino Cloth [AG94341A]
The old 41 Khaki was discontinued with the last shipment in May 2023.
In order to release new chinos that would replace it,
we cut up a highly valued vintage 41 Khaki, analyzed it, and produced the fabric from scratch.
Using American deep south cotton,
we've recreated a natural slub yarn.
While the previous 41 Khaki was reactive dyed,
this new 41 Khaki is vat dyed.
The 41 Khaki, made with American cotton, shuttle loom, and vat dyes,
is finished to preserve the atmosphere and texture of the original.
From the raw cotton, yarn, weaving, and dyeing,
this is the ultimate chino pant that we are particular about in every aspect...
That is Jelado's
Last Resort Chino Cloth
"41Khaki".
When it was last released, it sold out incredibly quickly,
and there are many customers waiting for the next shipment, making it a highly popular item.
So, if you are interested,
please reserve it at the store.
We have fitting samples in XS, M, L, and XL at the store.
[Pre-order item, expected arrival mid-April to late April] JELADO 311W Painter Pants [JP94311W]
[Pre-order item, expected arrival mid-April to late April] JELADO 391SB Overall [JP94391SB]
"Last Resort" means
a secret weapon or a last resort.
If the white tag is the first line of defense,
the blue tag series is the fourth line of defense, following the black tag and brown tag.
The white and black tags focus on LEVI'S,
the brown tag focuses on 41 Khaki...
So what about the blue tag?
The blue tag is a collection centered on workwear,
and when it comes to representative workwear, you can't ignore "Lee".
LAST RESORT "Blue Tag"
focuses on light ounce denim workwear.
Since it's 10.5 oz denim,
unlike the white and black tags, the lighter ounce blue tag will undoubtedly show a different aging process.
In that sense,
it's a very exciting series.
And pre-orders for this one have also started.
[Pre-order item, expected arrival June] JELADO 41 Covert Faded (Fade Salt & Pepper) [AG71319]
The base is the same as the "LASTRESORT 41 Khaki" that we are currently taking reservations for, but the fabric is different.
100% cotton twisted yarn twill fabric.
The warp uses sulfur-dyed twisted yarn, and the weft uses
sulfur-dyed black yarn, resulting in a thick and firm fabric.
Since it's 100% cotton, it will age beautifully with wear,
so we hope you enjoy watching its transformation.
This item is produced only once a year, so we believe there are many customers who have been eagerly awaiting it.
This highly anticipated "41 Covert" is finally available for pre-order.
Jelado West has samples (though with different fabrics) available for fitting.
Please try on these samples and make your reservation.

And this jacket too...
[Pre-order item, expected arrival April-May] JELADO Age of Longing Black Tag 407EXX Size 34 (XS) ~ 38 (M) Denim JKT [JP94407E]
[Pre-order item, expected arrival April-May] JELADO Age of Longing Black Tag 407EXX Size 40 (L) ~ 44 (XXL) Denim JKT [JP94407ED]
[Pre-order Item, Arriving April-May] JELADO Age of Longing Black Tag 407EXX Denim JKT Big Size (50) [JP94407EDD]
A small quantity of Age of Longing 407EXX arrived in December,
but it sold out in a flash.
As you all probably know, the LAST RESORT "Black Tag"
is the second installment of the Last Resort series, following the original "White Tag" that was released earlier.
Compared to the white tag, the black tag denim has a stronger black tint, rather than a blue one.
JELADO categorizes it into early and late 1947 models.
The white tag, with its strong blue tint, is positioned as a late 1947 model,
and the 501XX of this era is known as:
"The pinnacle of 501XX masterpieces."
If you want to know why it's called that, please visit JELADO WEST (laughs).
The white tag focuses on XX fabric from the 50s.
So what about the "black tag" with its strong black tint?
World War II ended in 1945,
and during the war, Levi's factories were producing
the "war model" that everyone loves.
After the war ended, material controls were lifted,
but it took a considerable amount of time for the details to return to their original form.
This is because a lot of the denim fabric and auxiliary materials used in the war model remained.
LEVI'S denim fabrics also had No.1 denim to No.3 denim.
(I only know up to No.3, but if there's a No.4 or something, please let me know.) These numbers indicate the quality of the denim fabric.
No. 2 is a cheaper version of No. 1 denim,
and No. 3 is a cheaper version of No. 2 denim.
It's divided in that way, but weren't the denim fabrics used in the war models
No. 2 or No. 3 denim?
After these denim fabrics were used up,
they transitioned to what JELADO calls the "white tag."
The black tag denim represents the transitional period
from the end of the war to the change in denim fabric.
The fabric is 15 ounces and uses highly irregular threads,
so as it ages with repeated wear,
it will develop a vertical fading that resembles falling rain.
The true pleasure of denim is, without a doubt,
its "fading."
The fading, which is essential for "wearing" denim,
will be completely different for each person, and this pleasure
is, I believe, the greatest appeal of denim.
This time, an additional 400 pieces will be produced,
so for customers who couldn't purchase it during the last December arrival,
or for those who are considering buying it now,
I believe this is a chance to get your hands on one.
Please take this opportunity to try it on and consider it at the store.
※ From size L, the back features
a split back specification.
