What is Last Resort Blue Tag Denim?

Last Resort Blue Tag Denim is a 10.5 oz fabric that represents JELADO today. It was created by disassembling a 1940s Lee coverall and analyzing the yarn thickness, weave density, and slubbing.

As a result of our analysis, we randomly wove three different thicknesses of warp yarns to reproduce the faded vintage look that remains today, creating a fabric with uneven vertical fading.

For the indigo version, we used sulfur-dyed gray weft threads. This gives the fabric a subdued color and a classic feel.

All the accessories were also originally produced for this coverall. This is a detail that represents coveralls of that era: the large swing button.

Smaller swing buttons for the sleeves.

Furthermore, all the snap buttons, including those for the chest pocket, are original. (The left chest pocket has a peek-a-boo selvage detail)

The stitching also follows the details of Lee's designs from that time, with the trapezoidal pocket sewn straight,

and a slight excess of fabric intentionally left at the end of the stitching.

Of course, the vanilla version also follows all the same details.

we capture the unique characteristics of each piece and incorporate them into the design.
