JELADO's standard horsehide leather pants were restocked the other day.

JELADO 519 Rebel Leather Pants【JP01316】

We chrome-tanned horsehide approximately 1.6mm thick, then washed off the solvent and re-tanned it with tannin. This process combines the pliability of tannin tanning, which creates wrinkles, with the suppleness of chrome tanning.

The dyeing is also meticulously done. After dyeing the base a light brown, a long-established finishing factory in Tokyo applied black with "oka-zome" (overdyeing), resulting in what is known as "tea core leather." Just like indigo fades over time in denim, allowing you to enjoy its aging, the black applied on top peels away, revealing the brown base underneath, creating a material that changes beautifully over time.

The silhouette is based on the nostalgic Levi's 519 corduroy pants.
