In Ichinomiya City, Aichi Prefecture,

there is a region called Bishu.

 

This native patterned fabric was produced

in the Bishu region using a jacquard loom,

of which there is only one in operation.

 

This native pattern was created after repeated testing

over a period of two years.

 

To express complex patterns with many colors,

the fabric is used horizontally rather than vertically

to change the way the pattern is displayed.

 

This is a special blanket fabric that our representative, Goto,

was particularly particular about.

 

Because there is only one of these machines in operation

in the Bishu region,

the quantity that can be produced is very limited, which is why

it is called "special"...
