This fabric, made using a sashiko-style dobby loom, mimics the traditional Japanese sashiko weaving technique. Sashiko is a method of creating patterns by crossing threads, characterized by its beautiful designs. By using a dobby loom, it is possible to weave complex patterns and designs.

"Sashiko-style dobby loom" is made by applying dobby loom technology to reproduce the beautiful patterns and texture of traditional sashiko weaving.

What is Sashiko?

The Spring/Summer 2024 theme is "SPROUT." This season, the concept is to revive vintage items collected 20 years ago through sourcing and collections.

We have reproduced open-collar shirts that were widely available from store brands in the 1950s. In reproducing them, we recreated the original design, including the specification of using a different fabric for the back lining and the design of opening the collar with a facing. However, as a new approach, we decided to use 100% cotton unbleached chambray fabric instead of the rayon material of the time. This resulted in a shirt that can be washed without worry and worn for a long time.

By incorporating a texture with a slight amount of cotton waste remaining in the unbleached fabric, you can enjoy a unique vintage feel. In addition, shell buttons are used to further enhance the atmosphere.

We have released the popular 41 Khaki shorts from last year with a new fabric.
Reproducing the herringbone used by the USMC in the 40s, we tailored them using a fabric that allows you to enjoy a crisp texture by using strong twisted yarn for the warp.
Available in two colors, olive and vanilla, the material is perfect for summer Americana style.

The fabric texture becomes richer with each wash, allowing you to enjoy them for a long time.

Sewn with 2mm double-piping just like vintage items of the time, the sewing thread count and stitch count are also matched.
