I'd like to introduce you to a very popular product

that arrived at WEST on Sunday.

 

JELADO Age of Longing Black tag 301EXX Denim Pants【JP94301E】

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Age of Longing 301EXX is a very dark denim, positioned as a

LEVI'S 501XX of the

early 1947 model.

 

The material controls

that were implemented during World War II were lifted in 1945.

 

With the lifting of these material controls, the 501XX, which is the basis of the 301EXX,

returned to its original form, and a new denim fabric was scheduled to be released, but

there was an issue.

 

The dark denim fabric used for the "War Denim" remained in the factory,

and instead of discarding it, it was used up before a new denim fabric was released.

The 301EXX introduced here is a "transitional" denim.

 

However, LEVI'S has a

46 model denim

that existed the year before the 47 model.

 

It would take too long to explain, so I'll just give you two features of the 46 model:

 

① The inseam of the denim is cut raw.

 

This is a famous

detail of the 46 model.

 

② The hem creases are straight.

 

The hem creases after 47 are diagonal, but

I believe this is due to a different Union Special machine.

 

Let's go back to the story.

After that, Levi's used up the fabric they had been using for the "War Denim,"

and released new denim, which corresponds to the "white tag" of JELADO's original fabric,

"LASTRESORT."

 

The "black tag" series focuses on the early 1947 model (War Denim),

which does not have the raw-cut inseam found in the 46 model,

but instead has proper overlock stitching and diagonal hem creases.

 

Because it uses highly uneven threads, the vertical fading is very distinct.

The aging process as you wear them

creates a vintage feel...

These jeans are finished as such a pair.
