Hello everyone!
The last resort Type 2, which we have been working on, is finally finished.
First, the tag is complete!
This black tag will be sewn onto the denim!
The denim color is much darker than the current last resort denim, a deep navy blue.
Using the same cotton, we've added a few touches, strengthened the slubs, and expressed a rougher feel and a handcrafted texture that evokes the spinning techniques of yesteryear.
And since the black tag for this release was dyed with indigo at a different dyeing factory, the dyeing process is also different, completely changing the appearance of the warp threads. So much so that it's almost impossible to tell that it's made from the exact same cotton!
We've created something beyond imagination, something that can be described with such certainty.
We can't reveal the full details yet, but one of the key points of this denim fabric is its reverse side.
This is the vintage piece we based the fabric on! You can see the intense slubbing!
These round, ball-like slubs are easy to see on the reverse, but of course they also appear on the front. We really wanted to create this look
Here is the reverse side of the last resort with the black tag.
It also has a similar rough texture.
If you look closely, you'll see other details we paid attention to, but I'd like to talk about those when the product is made.
In any case, it has become a denim fabric with a lot to talk about.
And I believe we can create something incredible using this fabric, so please look forward to the next story.
