ついに再入荷、41 Service Shoes!〜Flagship store〜

Finally back in stock: 41 Service Shoes! ~Flagship Store~

Thank you for always visiting our store.

Today, we would like to tell you about the 41 Service Shoes, which have finally been restocked.

U.S.N 41 Service Shoes【JB94902】

We have strived to reproduce the details based on the US military vintage service shoes, likely from around the 1940s, owned by our company's representative.

The slightly pointed toe, characteristic of 1940s service shoes.

Six pairs of eyelets that are not visible from the front.

Hidden eyelets that become visible from the back.

Furthermore, they are packed with details of early service shoes, such as the T-shaped heel counter.

No detail has been overlooked for the shoe last either.

By replicating the 1941 Navy last that The 2 Monkeys' Suzuki previously owned, we have created service shoes with perfect 1940s details.

From the printing on the waist lining to the sole's engraving, all vintage details have been faithfully followed.

However, there is one detail we changed from the vintage: we adopted tea-core glass kip (calf to adult cattle leather) leather for the upper.

Although glass leather was a material used in service shoes from the 1950s onwards, we adopted it because it looks stunning when dynamic creases form.

Glass leather, which is coated with resin on the surface, usually doesn't use expensive leather like kip leather (especially tea-core), but kip has a very fine fibrous structure, so it develops extremely beautiful creases.

We have paid meticulous attention to every detail in these service shoes, and currently, many sizes are available in stores. Please try them on.

~USMC M44 Monkey Pants~

【Pre-order item, arriving early March】Monkey Trousers【CT11344】

Speaking of USMC M44 Monkey Pants,

these are trousers issued to the Marine Corps,

and they are popular items in the vintage industry

under the nickname "Monkey Pants".

The origin of their name is as follows...

Long, horizontal cargo pockets with flaps.

These large pockets were adopted to hold a "poncho,"

and the flaps were added to prevent the contents from falling out.

These pockets are said to resemble a monkey's buttocks,

hence the name "Monkey Pants."

The production period for the M44 was very short, only "1 year and 3 months,"

from July 1944 to around October 1945.

Also, because they were issued to the "elite few" of the U.S. Marine Corps,

the overall production volume was small, making them quite expensive

in the vintage market.

The periods when the U.S. Marine Corps actually wore them were...

・Battle of Iwo Jima (February 19 - March 26, 1945)

・Around the Battle of Okinawa (March 26 - September 7, 1945).

And after World War II,

・Korean War (June 25, 1950 - July 27, 1953).

It seems they were frequently worn during these periods.

Jelado's Monkey Pants use herringbone material.

Furthermore, they are dyed with vat dyes.

And the buttons are donut buttons,

which also creates a vintage feel.

By wearing them regularly, you can enjoy the aging process.

Native pattern half-length coats or

leather jackets... and even

they go very well with coveralls, etc.,

I also recommend pairing them with a chambray shirt.

Please make a reservation at the store or online.

Thank you.
