90s Reverse Weave Fully Recreated: Warmup Sweat ~Flagship Store~
Share
Thank you for always visiting us.
Today, we would like to introduce our sweatshirt that aims to perfectly reproduce the Champion Reverse Weave from the 90s, which has been very popular since its release last year.

Warmup Reverse Weave Crew Neck Sweat【AB12241】
With the cooperation of Riding High, Japan's leading cut-and-sew/sweatshirt brand, we have successfully recreated that atmosphere of the 90s.

In addition to last year's Grape, we are also offering new colors this year: Grass Green and Black.

What is Reverse Weave?
Here's a quick recap of Reverse Weave.
Champion's Reverse Weave, born in 1934, was loved as the latest sportswear of its time and continued to be produced in the United States until the 90s. In Japan, it dominated the used clothing market during the vintage boom of the 90s, and is still loved and highly regarded today.

(Ribs running horizontally across the fabric)
The advantage of Reverse Weave as sportswear was that it intentionally used fabric horizontally, which previously shrunk significantly vertically after washing, allowing it to be worn smartly even after repeated washes.

Furthermore, by placing ribs on both sides, elasticity and mobility were increased, and horizontal shrinkage was prevented.
Thus, Reverse Weave was sportswear infused with the latest wisdom of its time.
Its comfortable wear was loved by college students on the East Coast of America, becoming an object of longing for post-war Japanese youth who admired American culture.

Now, let's return to the Jelado x Riding High sweatshirt.
We meticulously selected raw cotton, using open-end yarn blended with American cotton. The face yarn is 14/- (open-end yarn), the middle yarn is 20/- (right twist), and the back yarn is 10/-, all knitted together.
In pursuit of authenticity, we went as far as modifying knitting machine parts and developing our own needles.

Furthermore, to reproduce the same texture as vintage items, we adopted an American-style napping machine for the napped lining.

Moreover, to achieve the dry texture of 90s American-made sweatshirts, the fabric is degreased after knitting.

It looks great simply paired with denim or other items.

New color: Grass Green
