And when it comes to the classic mid-winter outerwear for American casual wear, the N-1 deck jacket is a must. So today, I would like to introduce the N-1, a collaboration between Colimbo and JELADO, which was well-received last year.

JELADO×COLIMBO N-1 Plain [CT83418A]

Well-known for its military itemsColimbo made an N-1 jacket using JELADO's classic denim fabric "Last Resort White Tag". This "white tag" denim fabric was developed in-house by dismantling vintage Levi's 501 jeans.

The N-1 Deck Jacket is a jacket issued to the crew of US Navy ships towards the end of World War II for working on the deck. By standing up the collar and fastening the chin stop as shown in the photo, it was possible to work while protecting the neck from the sea breeze.

The most distinctive feature of the N-1 Deck Jacket is the wool alpaca lining that is densely packed from the body to the collar and cuffs.

Before the 60s, when outdoor activities became popular in the United States and down jackets became common, this was probably one of the warmest outerwear items in American casual wear. In Tokyo's warm winters, you can probably get through them with just an N-1 and a thermal.

The jacket is made using the same Last Resort white tag denim as the 55 denim jacket, so you can expect this type of aging to occur with repeated wear.
