This MALIBU is tailored using 17/-BD yarn-doubled stripes.

 

By doubling the yarn and knitting it tightly, we created a sturdy, thick striped fabric.

The more it is washed, the tighter the threads become, enhancing its texture, so you can enjoy a vintage feel the longer you wear it.

 

The distinctive wide boat neck creates a unique atmosphere and can be worn casually on its own.

It can also be fashionably used as an inner layer for military jackets or tailored jackets,

〜USMC M44 Monkey Pants〜

【Pre-order item, expected arrival early March】Monkey Trousers【CT11344】

Speaking of USMC M44 Monkey Pants,

they are pants issued to the Marines, but

they are popular items in the vintage industry

under the nickname "Monkey Pants."

The origin of the name is as follows...

Large, horizontal cargo pockets with flaps.

These large pockets were adopted to hold ponchos,

and the flaps were added to prevent contents from falling out.

These pockets are called "Monkey Pants" because they resemble a monkey's buttocks.

The production period of the M44 was actually very short, lasting only "1 year and 3 months,"

from July 1944 to around October 1945.

Also, due to being issued to the "elite few" U.S. Marines,

the overall production volume was small, so it commands quite a high price in the vintage market.

The period when the U.S. Marines actually wore them was...

・Battle of Iwo Jima (February 19 - March 26, 1945)

・Around the Battle of Okinawa (March 26 - September 7, 1945).

Also, after World War II,

・Korean War (June 25, 1950 - July 27, 1953)

They seem to have been widely worn.

JELADO's Monkey Pants use herringbone material.

Furthermore, they are dyed with vat dyes.

And the buttons are donut buttons, which also creates a vintage feel.

You can enjoy the aging process by wearing them thoroughly.
