Jelado's classic flannel shirt is made from a custom-ordered fabric woven on an old power loom.

The Blue Marron that arrived today

is a short length with a gusseted hem.

The surface of the fabric has a dry, crisp feel as if the oil has been removed,

and the back feels like the napping has been slightly suppressed from wear.

This classic flannel shirt from Jelado

is made by strongly weaving thick yarns in both the warp and weft, with a thorough brushed back finish,

and then subjected to a product-processing step to remove oil.

This makes it a highly labor-intensive piece compared to regular flannel shirts.

※"Blue Marron" means blue crayfish.

There seems to be such a thing as blue crayfish, and if you search for it,

you'll understand why it's called that!

Flannel shirts go well with denim, of course, but also with chinos and cargo pants.

We recommend trying them on in store for consideration.

The 407EXX features a split back (T-BACK) design from size L.

Some customers who can wear size M will deliberately size up to L to get the split back.

The 301EXX, which I'll introduce later, also has a heavily slubbed denim fabric, designed to create nep.

This results in a prominent vertical fading.

The "black tag" from LAST RESORT, released exactly one year ago recently.

We, the WEST staff, have also been diligently wearing and breaking them in.

As you can see from the images,

the vertical fading is very apparent.

The denim we've worn shows different fading, but that's one of denim's charms.

The "black tag" series

is positioned as XX fabric from the 40s.

Although it is a very dark denim,

until the end of the war in 1945, the factory was producing "S506XX, S501XX",

and there was leftover fabric used for these.

When the "material control" order issued during the war was lifted,

both tops and bottoms returned to their pre-war details,

but it didn't happen immediately, and it took several years for the fabric to change to a new one.

The model with the new fabric is the late 1947 model.

This black tag is for denim from the transitional period until the fabric changed to a new one,

so it is a very dark denim fabric.

The early 1947 model is the JELADO 407EXX / 301EXX.
