Today, I'll be introducing an item from a category I personally love:

"native patterns."

 

This vest is made from JELADO's original woven, meticulously crafted blanket fabric...

It is the YERROW STONE that I will introduce this time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

JELADO Yellowstone Vest【AG82530】

 

This product is named after the area where the Crow tribe was said to have been led to and resided.

 

※Who are the Crow tribe??

They are an Indigenous American tribe living in North America.

Their official name is 'Apsáalooke', which means 'people of the crow' in their language.

 

There is a myth that a crow named 'No Vitals' guided the tribe to the Big Horn Valley, which spans eastern Montana to northern Wyoming, and the Yellowstone River basin.

 

 

 

This YELLOW STONE is produced using a jacquard loom, of which there is only one in the Bishu region, centered around Ichinomiya City in Aichi Prefecture.

It is made from this special blanket fabric, based on a work vest from around the 1940s.

 

The fact that there is only "one" jacquard loom means that large quantities cannot be produced, which is why it is called "special."

 

We repeated tests to match the atmosphere of the patterns from that time, and it took two years to assemble the pattern.

To express the complex patterns and many colors, the fabric is used horizontally instead of vertically, changing the way the pattern is displayed.

 

This collared vest features piped pocket edges,

enhancing its vintage feel.

It can also be styled elegantly with shirts or cut-and-sew tops.
