Jelado holds preview events three times a year.

For us, it's a "Big event,"

and we welcome not only our regular customers,

but also those attending a preview for the first time,

and those visiting JELADO for the first time.

 

We want everyone to feel free to come to this event.

The previous 41 Khaki model was discontinued after its final shipment in May 2023.

To release a new pair of chinos to replace it, we cut up and analyzed a vintage 41 Khaki, which has seen soaring prices, and then produced the fabric from scratch.

Using American Deep South cotton, we have replicated the natural uneven yarn.

Whereas the previous 41 Khaki was dyed with reactive dyes, this 41 Khaki is dyed with vat dyes.

The 41 Khaki, made with American cotton, shuttle looms, and vat dyes, is finished to preserve the original atmosphere and fabric texture.

The ultimate chino pants, meticulously crafted in every aspect, from raw cotton and yarn to weaving and dyeing...

That is JELADO's Last Resort Chino Cloth "41 Khaki."

When it was last stocked, it sold out incredibly fast, and there are many customers eagerly awaiting its next arrival, making it a very popular item.

"Last Resort" means a trump card or one's last resort.

If the white tag was the first line of attack, then the "blue tag" series is the fourth line, following the black tag and brown tag.

The white and black tags focused on LEVI'S,

The brown tag focused on 41 Khaki...

So, what about the blue tag??

The blue tag is a collection centered on workwear, and when it comes to representative workwear, "Lee" is definitely essential.

The LAST RESORT "Blue Tag" focuses on light-ounce denim workwear.

Since it's 10.5 oz denim, unlike the white and black tags, the lower ounce blue tag will undoubtedly show a different kind of aging.

In that sense, it's a very exciting series.

While based on the "LASTRESORT 41Khaki" currently available for pre-order, the fabric is different.

It's a 100% cotton twisted melange twill fabric.

The warp uses sulfur-dyed twisted melange yarn, and the weft uses similarly sulfur-dyed black yarn, resulting in a thick and firm fabric.

Since it's 100% cotton, it will develop a rich aged look with wear,

so we hope you enjoy its evolving character.

As this is produced only once a year, we believe there are many customers who have been eagerly awaiting it.

The Age of Longing 407EXX, which was briefly in stock in December, sold out instantly.

As you may know, LAST RESORT "Black Tag" is the second installment of the Last Resort series, following the original "White Tag" that was released earlier.

Compared to the white tag, the black tag denim has a stronger black hue rather than a blue one.

JELADO categorizes them into early and late 1947 models, with the white tag positioned as the late 1947 model due to its strong blue-tinged denim fabric.

The 501XX of this era is called:

 

"The greatest masterpiece in the history of 501XX."

 

If you want to know why it's called that,

The white tag denim fabric focuses on the XX fabric of the 1950s.

 

So what about the darker "black tag"?

 

World War II ended in 1945, but during the war,

Levi's factories were producing the "War Model" that everyone loves.

 

After the war ended, material controls were lifted, but it took a considerable amount of time

for the details to return to their original form.

 

The reason is that a lot of the denim fabric and sub-materials used for the War Model remained.

 

LEVI'S denim fabric includes No. 1 denim to No. 3 denim

(I only know up to No. 3, but if No. 4 exists, please let me know).

This refers to the quality of the denim fabric.

 

No. 2 is a cheaper version of No. 1 denim,

and No. 3 is a cheaper version of No. 2 denim.

It is believed that the denim fabric used for the War Model was

No. 2 or No. 3 denim.

 

After this denim fabric was used up,

it transitioned to what JELADO calls the "white tag."

The black tag denim represents the transitional period

from the end of the war to the switch in denim fabrics.

 

The ounce count is 15 oz, and it uses slubby yarn,

so as it ages with repeated wear,

it will develop vertical fades like rain streaks.

 

The real appeal of denim is undoubtedly its "fading."

Fading is essential for "wearing" denim, and since it is completely different for each person,

I believe this appeal is the greatest charm of denim.

 

This time, we are producing an additional 400 pieces,

so for customers who couldn't purchase it during the December arrival, and for those who are considering purchasing it, I believe this is an opportunity to get your hands on it.
