Yesterday was hectic, and I couldn't write much about it on the blog, but I'd like to gradually introduce the items from this exhibition.

 

 

Of course, I plan to introduce more and more on YouTube, but there was one item I really wanted to introduce first, so today I will explain only this item in detail!

 

 

 

 

18th Anniversary Limited Edition

406EXX

 

This is a limited edition denim jacket with an incredible amount of attention to detail.

 

 

First, regarding the base of this jacket, the 506xx Levi's 1st type denim jacket was remodeled in 1952 as a new standard jacket.

 

That is this 507xx.

 

 

This is what is known as the 2nd type jacket.

 

 

The length was slightly adjusted for balance, and it featured symmetrical pockets, making it a very well-proportioned design. However, for only one year, from 1952 to 1953, it retained the manufacturing methods from the 1st model, had a single-sided red tab, and other special specifications that showed vestiges of the old style.

 

 

Some items even had dome buttons, showing traces of how available materials were used without waste as the transition progressed. Seeing this inspired the concept for this limited-edition project.

 

 

This time, the theme is: what if the 2nd type, which underwent a model change, was made in a sewing factory that still had materials from the 40s?

 

Therefore,

For the denim, we used the LASTRESORT black tag, which is not usually used!

 

 

And by using dome buttons on the back of the buttons, we incorporated more of the design from the 40s.

 

A single-sided tab on a second type—that's what makes it so appealing.

 

It is faithfully reproduced.

 

While retaining the single-stitch sewing for the pocket and flap,

the bar tack is black.

 

 

We did the same here.

 

Indeed, the sewing of the yoke is a key feature of the very first 2nd type, the 1952 model!

 

It might not be clearly visible in the photo, but the yoke stitching is also reproduced.

 

 

And the interesting thing about vintage items is that even with the same model from the same era, there are always unique characteristics, such as differences in sewing thread, or buttons and rivets from different periods.

The double stitching used to attach the sleeves is rainbow-colored.

 

Of course, we've done it...

 

 

We also re-examined the visibility of the logo on the buttons, re-made the molds, and created new iron buttons.

 

 

And this time, we even worked on the sewing thread used to attach them...
