Good evening. This is Uemura from WEST.

Today, I'd like to introduce a very popular product to everyone.

Instead of the straight sleeve attachments like set-in sleeves or raglan sleeves,

these curved sleeves are a detail called "Freedom Sleeves," adopted to improve performance by reducing resistance when raising the arms.

They are specialized for ball sports, with tennis being a prime example.

This sweatshirt is characterized by its ease of arm movement when serving or smashing.

Freedom Sleeves = Wilson

As someone who loves "Vintage Sweat Shirts," when it comes to sweatshirts with this detail, Wilson is overwhelmingly the most common brand seen in vintage items, outshining others.

However, the item we based this on is from a brand called "Champs."

*As mentioned above, Wilson is a tennis brand often found in vintage items, but it seems typical of President Goto to base designs on brands that are not Wilson.

This Champs collaboration with Riding High features a thick and fluffy comfortable feel. The sleeve ribs are attached diagonally where they meet the sleeve, wrapping all the way around in a single stitch.

This is Jelado's "ultimate sweatshirt," with attention to every detail.

The Champs Sweat is popular at both Jelado stores. It's a piece we really want everyone to wear. Please feel free to try it on and purchase it in-store.

Thank you.

〜USMC M44 Monkey Pants〜

【Pre-order item, expected arrival early March】Monkey Trousers【CT11344】

USMC M44 Monkey Pants are trousers issued to the Marine Corps, and they are popular items in the vintage industry under the nickname "Monkey Pants." The origin of that name is as follows...

Large, horizontal cargo pockets with flaps.

These large pockets were adopted to hold a "poncho," and the flaps were included to prevent the contents from falling out.

These pockets are called "Monkey Pants" because they resemble the buttocks of a monkey.

The production period for the M44 was actually very short, only "1 year and 3 months," from July 1944 to around October 1945.

Also, because they were issued to the "elite few" of the U.S. Marine Corps, the overall production volume was low, so they are traded at quite high prices in the vintage market.

The period during which the U.S. Marine Corps actually wore them was...

・Battle of Iwo Jima (February 19, 1945 - March 26, 1945)

・Around the Battle of Okinawa (March 26, 1945 - September 7, 1945).

And after World War II,

・Korean War (June 25, 1950 - July 27, 1953)

They seem to have been worn extensively.

Jelado's Monkey Pants use herringbone material.

Furthermore, they are dyed with vat dyes.

The buttons are donut buttons, which also creates a vintage feel.

You can enjoy the aging process by wearing them thoroughly.

It pairs very well with native patterned half-length coats,

leather jackets, and even

coveralls.

I also recommend pairing them with chambray shirts.

Please make your reservations in-store or online.

Thank you.

At both JELADO stores, we used to offer hemming services for "denim from other brands" if you brought them to the store. However, as hemming requests for in-store and online purchases have increased, we are currently unable to accommodate "hemming services for other brands brought in." We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
