〜Our Special Coach Jacket〜

Today, I'd like to suggest some styling.

 

JELADO's special coach jacket...

Regarding this jacket,

While vintage jackets use nylon,

JELADO's coach jackets are

a little different.

 

We use a fabric called 60/40 cloth,

which is 60% cotton and 40% nylon.

 

※What is 60/40 cloth?

An American outdoor brand

【SIERRA DESIGNS】

developed this material in the 1960s,

back when synthetic fibers weren't as advanced.

 

It consists of 60% high-strength cotton for the weft

and 40% high-density nylon for the warp.

 

・Water Repellency

The cotton in the weft absorbs moisture like rain,

causing it to swell and fill the gaps between the threads,

making it difficult for water to pass through.

Combined with nylon's inherent water-repellent properties,

it repels water.

 

・Good Breathability

By blending cotton,

it offers breathability not found in 100% nylon.

It prevents dampness and stuffiness from perspiration,

leading to greater comfort.

"It repels water but allows moisture to pass through."

This is a characteristic of 60/40 cloth.

 

・Abrasion Resistant

The weakness of 100% nylon fabric is friction.

It can easily get holes, but by using cotton for the weft,

its strength is increased, preventing tears from friction,

making it a durable garment that can be used for a long time.

 

・Unique Texture

 

It has a unique sheen, but because it's 60% cotton,

it will develop a unique patina over time with repeated use.

 

A material that repels water, is breathable,

and offers durability and enjoyable aging...

That's what 60/40 cloth is.
