407EXX Vintage Finish.

JELADO Age of Longing 407EXX Vintage Finish 【JP01407EXX】〈Direct Store Limited Model〉

This is a vintage finish of our classic LAST RESORT

BLACK TAG 407EXX.

It is based on the LEVI'S 506XX, commonly known as the "1st" or "Type 1".

Here's a little bit about the 1st...

Actually, models called "1st"

until 1922, like the wartime models,

did not have flaps, and the pocket position was lower than the chest,

a style known as "down pocket".

Flaps are said to have been added around 1923,

and looking at the 506XX from around 1927,

the pocket position is placed on the chest.

After that, based on Chris Lucia's idea,

from July 1, 1937,

the famous LEVI'S detail,

"red tab", was added.

As time went on, World War II began...

Due to wartime material controls,

the so-called "Wartime Model" S506XX appeared,

with modified details.

After the war ended and material controls were lifted,

Levi's faced a problem.

At this timing,

should they release "new denim fabric",

or use up the large quantity of denim fabric (the wartime denim previously used)

that remained in each factory after the war,

and then announce it?

Considering the cost of disposal,

they chose to use up the wartime denim.

The dark denim that focuses on this "transitional period"

as they switched to new denim fabric (1947)

is what JELADO refers to as

407EXX and 301EXX.

In the vintage world,

one of the items that continues to "soar in price"

is Levi's denim jackets.

Among the 506XX known as the 1st,

those with this detail...

The selling price will rise sharply.

This is a split back...

In modern terms, it's a "T-Back" detail.

At the time, LEVI'S jackets in sizes 46 and above

had this detail.

During the vintage boom about 20 years ago,

it was actually poorly rated,

and with big sizes being less popular than just-fit sizes,

it was criticized as "outdated",

but now, everyone admires it.

Pursuing the realism unique to vintage,

the cinch back has been cut.

*Cutting the cinch back is also

often seen in vintage pieces, but it might have been

in the way for some wearers.

This time, at the request of a customer,

we realized the 407EXX Vintage Finish.

It's a valuable item, limited to 100 pieces at direct stores.

Of course, it's denim, but it's also

highly versatile with other items, and it's an item

we'd like customers who don't have a denim jacket to own...

That's the kind of item it is.

worn for 2 and a half years.

Overall fading can be seen,

and the puckering and honeycombing

create a distinctly vintage atmosphere.

It's a cool jacket with a natural fade

that has the resort-like bluish tint of the last resort.

if you bring them to the store, but since we have seen an increase in hemming requests for

items purchased in-store or online, we are currently

not accepting "bring-in hemming for other brands". We apologize for any inconvenience.

hemming will be charged.
