Today, we would like to introduce some shirts made with JELADO's ultimate twisted-yarn fabric, meticulously developed from the thread, similar to the Last Resort series.
JELADO Ciggy Shirt【AG81118】
Similar to the Last Resort fabric, this is a supreme chambray fabric developed by JELADO by deconstructing vintage "BIG YANK" chambray from our collection, and thoroughly replicating the original fabric's characteristics, including yarn count, thread density, slub yarn shape, and twist condition.
For dyeing, we use sulfur dyes that allow for aging similar to vintage items. Initially, we aimed to reproduce black chambray, but since sulfur dyes are difficult to stabilize in color, it coincidentally shifted to a reddish-gray shade. This color was so wonderful and unprecedented that we decided to commercialize it.
This Ciggy Shirt is a half-zip pullover that incorporates details from vintage "BIG YANK" shirts.
Features include separate cuffs, characteristic of "BIG YANK," and
a short chin strap, known as a "Chocochin," has been reproduced.
The small front pocket is a "cigarette pocket" with a bound seam construction. This is a unique vintage detail from a time when cigarette packs weren't wrapped in film, designed to prevent cigarettes from getting wet with sweat.
