We'd like to introduce the re-stocked JELADO 55Denim Jacket(55Denim Jacket) 406XX【JP94406】.

 

This product is based on a Levi's denim jacket known as the "2nd Type."

 

Its main feature is the use of 14-ounce denim fabric that reproduces the 501XX by thoroughly analyzing the thread thickness, fiber length, and twist count, after deconstructing DEAD STOCK fabric from early 1950s Levi's 501XX and selecting American-grown cotton.

Additionally, this denim jacket faithfully reproduces the details of products from that era.

This JELADO sweatshirt comes in 3 colors: mint, old navy, and salt & pepper.

 

Based on 40s freedom sleeve sweatshirts, it retains a vintage feel while being tailored to a modern fit.

The body is knitted on an old-fashioned Azuma knitting machine in a circular knit (no side seams).

The Azuma knitting machine, an old-fashioned knitting machine, produces a fleece fabric characterized by a vintage feel and lightness. This knitting machine is a rare type that existed around the 70s when knitting machines transitioned from hanging loop wheel machines to innovative machines, and few still exist today.

Because it knits slowly, the daily output is small, which allows for a texture similar to a hanging loop wheel machine, characterized by an uneven surface and a fluffy feel.

Regarding brushing, while open-width fabrics can be brushed in 1 step, circular brushed fabrics require 4 brushing steps to flatten the circular shape, making the process 4 times more labor-intensive.

It is finished with pre-dye brushing.

Following vintage specifications, most of the stitching is double-needle, but the cuffs are circular knit ribs, and the cuff ribs are attached in one continuous process from the double-needle stitching under the armpits.

We have reproduced a piece that faithfully replicates the stitching of that time, which is now difficult to obtain in vintage items.

This sweatshirt pairs excellently with both denim and chinos.

The fluffy fabric feels comfortable and provides warmth, making it an essential sweatshirt for this winter.
