Today, from our Flagship store, we are introducing JELADO's classic item,

the Westcoast shirt.

This time, it's crafted from typewriter cloth with an ombre print.

Many customers eagerly anticipate what colors this classic item will be available in each year. This season, it comes in two colors: Lime and Orange.

The typewriter fabric, made from organic yarn, is first dyed with a surface dye (beige) on the ground,

then an ombre check pattern is applied using rotary printing.

Because the base color is beige, the check pattern appears deep,

and its vintage-like characteristics make it a beloved item for vintage enthusiasts.

Compared to 20 years ago, the value of vintage items like this shirt has increased by about tenfold.

The printing is done in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, and the base is an open-collar shirt that follows the design of 1950s rayon box shirts.

The silhouette has been adjusted to not be too slim, prioritizing ease of wear.

 

Both colors have excellent vibrancy and pair perfectly with denim or chinos.

 

 

 

 

 

We also tried pairing it with the corduroy pants that just arrived yesterday.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The contrast with the pants is excellent, highlighting the beautiful colors of the Westcoast shirt.

 

Although the fabric itself is thinner compared to flannel shirts, by coordinating it with a heavy outer layer, it can be worn as an inner layer even in mid-winter.

 

 

 

With many heavy outerwear items in dark colors, using such a vibrant shirt as an inner layer can add a splash of color to an otherwise monotonous winter outfit, making it a versatile shirt!
