Today we would like to introduce you to our autumn/winter outerwear, a staple that JELADO releases every season.

 

POMONA Leather Pharaoh Jacket [SG94412]

 

This is the leather version of the Pharaoh jacket.

This season, two styles have already been released: a short length and a coat length in black and salt and pepper, but the final one is leather.

This Pharaoh jacket, an extremely rare leather-bodied vintage jacket from the 50s, is crafted from JELADO's standard semi-aniline-finished horse leather.

The material is horsehide, approximately 1.6 mm thick, tanned with a combination of chrome and tannin.

After tanning with chrome, the solvent is washed away and the leather is tanned again with tannin, bringing out the unique texture of the tannin and achieving a heavy feel and a flavor that improves the more it is worn. 

After dyeing the base light brown, a long-established finishing factory in Tokyo sprays on black using a hill dyeing method to recreate the deep look that is unique to brown-core leather.

This time, to achieve a deeper black, we used a semi-aniline finish, which is a blend of half pigment and half dye.

The penetration of the dye and the durability of the pigment are balanced, allowing you to enjoy the unique changes that occur over time as the brown color of the base becomes more apparent the more you wear it.

 

 

After listening to this explanation, JELADO fans may have noticed something.

That's right, we use the same leather as the 44 Leather, Rebel Jacket, and JELADO's standard leather for sports jackets.

 The ribbing is made from highly acclaimed vintage jacquard ribbing, and the quilted lining improves warmth.

This is a one-of-a-kind Pharaoh jacket whose texture deepens with wear.
