~Jackets to make your mark in & This week's new video: "JELADO Herringbone Series Explained by CEO Goto"~ [WEST]

〜Jackets to wear from now on〜

Good evening. This is Uemura from WEST.

Today, I'd like to introduce this product.

JELADO Wooster Sports Jacket [AG03409]

Wooster Sports Jacket 【AG03409】

This

Wooster Sports Jacket [AG03409]

is based on a 1930s wool sports jacket.

To reproduce the vintage colors,

the yarn is dyed in a faded navy color,

and merino wool is mixed with stiff tweed raw wool,

resulting in a coarse and firm fabric.

Patterned side adjusters,

fan-shaped eyelet zippers, etc.

The 30s-style details

are simply irresistible!

The cuffs and elbow patches

are made of tea-core horsehide,

so the brown undercolor will emerge with age.

This sports jacket is perfect for this time of year,

as the weather starts to warm up.

It's a piece I'd love for everyone to wear with jeans or chinos.

Please come and try it on at the store.

Thank you.

〜USMC M44 Monkey Pants〜

【Pre-order item, expected early March】Monkey Trousers【CT11344】

USMC M44 Monkey Pants are pants issued to the Marine Corps,

and they are a popular item in the vintage industry

under the nickname "Monkey Pants."

The origin of their name is as follows...

Large, horizontal cargo pockets with flaps.

These large pockets were adopted to hold ponchos,

and the flaps were added to prevent items from falling out.

They are called "Monkey Pants" because these pockets resemble a monkey's buttocks.

The production period of the M44 was actually

very short, only "1 year and 3 months,"

from July 1944 to around October 1945.

Also, because they were issued to the "elite few"

of the U.S. Marine Corps,

the overall production volume was small, so they are traded at

quite high prices in the vintage market.

The periods when the U.S. Marine Corps actually wore them were...

・Battle of Iwo Jima (Feb. 19 - Mar. 26, 1945)

・Around the Battle of Okinawa (Mar. 26 - Sep. 7, 1945).

Also, after World War II,

・Korean War (Jun. 25, 1950 - Jul. 27, 1953)

It seems they were frequently worn during these periods.

Jelado's Monkey Pants use herringbone material.

Furthermore, they are dyed with vat dyes.

And the buttons are donut buttons,

which also creates a vintage look.

By wearing them thoroughly, you can enjoy the aging process.

Native pattern half-length coats or

leather jackets... and even

They also go very well with coveralls.

I also recommend pairing them with a chambray shirt.

Please make a reservation at the store or online.

Thank you.
