These baker pants were adopted in 1947,

and are made from a fabric called 'herringbone twill'.

* What is herringbone?

"Herringbone" =

"herring (fish)" and "bone"

The pattern is named after the bones visible when a herring fish is filleted.

Baker pants were worn

on the battlefield,

and are also said to have been worn

during office work.

Also, it is said that the name 'Baker Pants'

came from the fact that bakers wore them.

Since they are made of herringbone twill fabric,

they are thick and durable.

Also, since they are 100% cotton,

you can enjoy the aging process

as you wear them repeatedly.
