Today, we bring you The 2 Monkeys' masterpiece VAUDEVILLE, which has become a staple.
The 2 Monkeys VAUDEVILLE【TM83933】
Vaudeville refers to a type of popular entertainment that originated in France at the end of the 19th century. It was also extremely popular in America before the spread of movies.
The 2 Monkeys' VAUDEVILLE was created with the image of shoes worn by vaudeville actors traveling from town to town. It is inspired by American and French boots from around 1910. Although it is not a reproduction of a specific vintage boot, considering that vaudeville as an art form spread from France to America, it seems that the name truly reflects the product.

In fact, movies themselves were originally shown between vaudeville acts. It was much later that movie screenings became common in cinemas.
As such, vaudeville and early cinema had a very close relationship. In fact, many of the stars of early silent films came from vaudeville.
VAUDEVILLE has a slightly dressy look, but it pairs perfectly with workwear like blue-tag painter pants.
The inspiration for The 2 Monkeys' VAUDEVILLE reportedly comes from vaudeville-trained film actors like Charles Chaplin and Buster Keaton.
In Chaplin's own starring masterpiece, "Modern Times," you can see him wearing workwear with hickory stripes, paired with boots that have a slightly upturned toe, much like the VAUDEVILLE.
VAUDEVILLE offers a surprisingly light feel for boots, so it might not be impossible to skip and jump as nimbly as Chaplin does in the movie.
