We have developed 10.5oz light ounce denim named LASTRESORT "Blue Tag" and faithfully reproduced 1940s painter pants.
This denim was created by disassembling a 1940s LEE coverall, analyzing the threads, and studying the characteristics of vintage fading. As a result, we produced denim with a similar vertical fading effect. Using this fabric, we reproduced the 1940s House Mark painter pants.
The unique feature of LEE work pants, where the center of the pocket bottom is slightly left over and sewn straight, creates an authentic vintage atmosphere.
The warp threads are woven with slub yarns of three different counts, allowing you to enjoy random vertical fading like those from that era. The weft threads use light gray sulfur dye, which gives a deeper color than regular light ounce denim, allowing you to enjoy the difference in color when it fades. Furthermore, a union ticket is sewn on the back of the right back pocket, showing attention to detail.
The front button shanks are also dome-shaped, further enhancing the vintage feel. We hope you will try these painter pants, which are of the highest quality in terms of fabric, accessories, and sewing.

The thick silhouette is sure to look great.

It's rare to wear dark-colored painter pants from scratch, so please take this opportunity to try them on.

The theme for the 2024 SS COLLECTION is "SPROUT." In line with this theme, we have reproduced wartime overalls using 10.5oz light ounce denim named "LASTRESORT Blue Tag," which we put a lot of effort into developing. This denim was created by disassembling a 1940s LEE coverall, analyzing the threads, and referring to the fading of vintage denim that remains today, aiming for a similar vertical fading effect. All accessories that came with deadstock House Mark overalls made during the wartime period have also been reproduced, with attention to design down to the name tags and flasher. The flasher, usually made of paper, is made of non-woven fabric so that it won't tear even after washing, and the union ticket sewn inside the pocket is sewn with a single stroke. The adjusters for shoulder strap length, the buttons to secure the shoulder straps, and the waist buttons are also faithfully reproduced with laurel iron buttons. The snap buttons securing the bib pocket were also specially made of iron just to reproduce this model. The sewing threads are divided into white and black, with the front fly, shoulder straps, and hems sewn in black, giving it a calmer, more mature workwear impression than if everything were sewn in white. The silhouette is slightly wide to allow you to enjoy a slightly loose workwear fit. As you wear them, the slub yarns of three different thicknesses will each show their character, allowing you to enjoy random vertical fading.

I researched the history of overalls myself.

Some of you may already know, but please take a look.

The history of overalls is old; it is said that in the mid-1800s, the prototype of overalls, with a bib and suspenders attached to reduce dirt on the upper body, was created for miners seeking to strike it rich by finding gold veins.

Until World War I, they were mainly worn by male laborers and also became popular among children due to their ease of wear, but as the number of female laborers gradually increased, overalls began to be designed more fashionably.

That's why, unlike jeans, they are worn by both men and women despite not being universally popular.

Indeed, I have an image of small children wearing them.

We use different types of horsehide for the upper. Although they are tanned in the same way, the parts closer to the sole are finished with pigment, while the parts that wrap around the ankle are dyed with dye.

We use leather with two different dyeing techniques.
