Today, I'd like to introduce an item that just arrived.

What is RED BARON on the front?

It is known as the nickname of Manfred von Richthofen,

a German ace pilot who was active during World War I,

and was called "The Red Baron." There are various movies

related to The Red Baron.

Studio Ghibli's "Porco Rosso" is also said to be modeled after

The Red Baron.

While The Red Baron is a European story,

in America, it has been incorporated into pop culture

as a symbol of "the strongest," "legend," and "outlaw."

 

This character is indispensable as a trigger for that.

It's "Snoopy."

He repeatedly fantasizes in the "Peanuts" (American comic strip) series

about his doghouse being a "Sopwith Camel fighter plane"

and engaging in aerial combat with the Red Baron.

Getting back to the sweatshirt.

The sleeves are freedom sleeves.

When it comes to JELADO's Champs sweatshirts,

this is the detail, isn't it?

The key point of this freedom sleeve

is that, unlike a straight attachment,

it "doesn't catch" when you raise your arm.

This attachment method is a detail particularly specialized for ball sports,

and it is said that it expanded the range of motion and led to improved performance.

Perhaps due to production efficiency issues,

this detail disappeared in the late 1950s.

Furthermore, this is a tubular knit specification,

with a thick and fluffy fabric, so it is especially recommended

for sweatshirt lovers.

Since it also has a print on the back,

it's a special sweatshirt with prints on both sides.

It faithfully reproduces the atmosphere of bowling league sweatshirts of that era.
