JELADO Farmers Shirt 【JP01123】
JELADO's standard Union Workers Shirt sampled heavy flannel with a dry texture from store brands after the 70s, but this Farmers Shirt is modeled after flannel shirts from before the 50s, which had a very soft texture.
This time, we sampled a vintage Pilgrim, a representative brand of flannel shirts from before the 1950s. Similar to the Last Resort Denim, we cut into a valuable vintage flannel shirt, analyzed the fabric, and meticulously endeavored to reproduce it. The color is also almost identical to the vintage piece.
Available in two colors: Salmon Raw (red) and Mint (green).
As a result of analyzing the fabric, it was discovered that this vintage piece had prominent characteristics such as a difference in yarn count between the warp and weft, and a low thread count. Most notably, it was revealed that very long staple fibers were used for the weft. That was the secret to its supple texture. This would not have been known without cutting into it.
Based on the analysis of vintage items, this item uses very thick and long-staple yarns for the weft compared to the warp. Generally, the longer the fiber length of the yarn, the higher quality and more comfortable the fabric is said to be. Thanks to this, we have created a blissful flannel fabric that feels like a fluffy blanket.
We also paid close attention to dyeing, using sulfur dyes. As it is worn, it will show a unique aging process, just like a vintage piece.
