〜Sports Jacket〜
Good evening. This is Uemura from WEST.
Today, I'd like to introduce a jacket
that we want you to wear 'now'.
JELADO Wooster Sports Jacket 【AG03409】
To reproduce the color of vintage clothing,
the yarn is dyed in a faded navy color
to produce the fabric.
・Cuffs
・Elbow patches
・Pocket edges
・Side buckle parts
use brown-core horsehide,
which will reveal its brown base as it ages.
By wearing it repeatedly, you can enjoy the vintage-like
feel, so it's highly recommended.
The patterned side adjusters,
and the fan-shaped eyelet zipper are nice 30s-style details!
Please come and try on this 30s-style
sports jacket that you can wear now
at our store.
It's a recommended item that you can wear from now on.
Thank you.
〜USMC M44 Monkey Pants〜
【Pre-order item: Arriving early March】Monkey Trousers【CT11344】
Speaking of USMC M44 Monkey Pants,
they are pants issued to the Marine Corps,
and are a popular item in the vintage industry
with the nickname "Monkey Pants."
The origin of the name is as follows...
Large, horizontal cargo pockets with flaps.
These large pockets were adopted to hold a 'poncho',
and the flaps were added to prevent the contents
from falling out.
These pockets are called "Monkey Pants" because they resemble a monkey's buttocks.
The production period of the M44 was actually
very short, only '1 year and 3 months',
from July 1944 to around October 1945.
Also, because they were issued to the
'elite few' U.S. Marine Corps,
the overall production volume was small, so they are traded
at quite high prices in the vintage market.
The periods when the U.S. Marine Corps actually wore them are...
・Battle of Iwo Jima (February 19 - March 26, 1945)
・Around the Battle of Okinawa (March 26 - September 7, 1945).
Also, after World War II,
・Korean War (June 25, 1950 - July 27, 1953)
They seem to have been worn extensively during these times.
Jelado's Monkey Pants use herringbone fabric.
Furthermore, they are dyed with vat dyes.
And the buttons are donut buttons,
which also creates a vintage look.
By wearing them thoroughly, you can enjoy
the aging process.
They pair well with Native-patterned mid-length coats
and leather jackets... and even
coveralls. They are also very compatible,
and I also recommend pairing them with chambray shirts.
Please pre-order at the store or online.
Thank you.
