JELADO's Masterpiece "Eagle Eye" Stadium Jacket ~Flagship Store~
JELADO Eagle Eye Plain【AB03410A】
This classic masterpiece incorporates details found in vintage varsity jackets from the 1940s and 1950s.
For the body, we analyzed vintage Melton fabric and attempted to reproduce it in Ichinomiya City, Aichi Prefecture, known as a wool product region.The top yarn is double-woven for high density, giving it a very substantial feel, while also achieving a smooth texture. This exquisite finish is the result of a collaboration between JELADO, which has always been committed to wool products, and Ichinomiya City.
For leather parts like the sleeves, we used supple cowhide that is substantial yet flexible. Combined with the smooth Melton fabric, it has become an item with excellent comfort.
The buttons are designed to resemble baseballs.
Speaking of baseballs, we also offer a version of this varsity jacket with special customization.
JELADO Eagle Eye Dunber1947【AB03410B】
This is a special version for which we commissioned a craftsman with over 40 years of experience in military patches and other items using free-motion embroidery machines to create the patches.
In line with the concept of this varsity jacket, named (EAGLE EYE) after the nickname of a major leaguer from a bygone era, it was made with a baseball motif.
After the embroidery, great effort was put into drawing the ball seams with chains and sewing the felt pieces together with chains.
JELADO Eagle Eye Indian Heads【AB03410C】
This is also a version with a patch commissioned from "HANDLER Inc." based in Kiryu City.
"HANDLER Inc." is a craftsman who has earned high praise worldwide for their embroidery items made using 100-year-old hand-crank sewing machines.
This patch was created based on a vintage Indian head patch.
Part of the headdress is sewn with chains, and the facial contours and eyes are drawn with handle embroidery, sewing the felt pieces together.
All of these are sure to be a big hit this autumn and winter. Please come and see them in store.
