This is a very classic chambray shirt based on the 1930s "BIG YANK" snap pocket half-zip pullover shirt.

-What is chambray fabric?

Chambray fabric is generallyThis refers to a plain weave fabric that uses indigo-colored threads for the warp and white threads (or threads of a different color from the warp) for the weft. It has a unique marbled texture.

Like this smoker shirt, it is similar to denim fabric in that it uses indigo for the warp and white for the weft, but denim is a twill fabric, so the weaving method is different.

Plain weave fabrics, such as chambray, are woven with alternating warp and weft threads. Because the threads cross at many points, the fabric is very strong and firm.

In addition, since the warp and weft threads are woven evenly, there is little difference between the front and back of the fabric.

On the other hand, twill fabrics such as denim are woven by skipping some warp and weft threads and crossing them. Because there are fewer points where the threads cross, the fabric is very stretchy.

Also, unlike plain weave, when different threads are used for the warp and weft, the color of the front and back of the fabric will be different. This is why the back of denim is white.

Twisted flake is a fabric that has two or more colors of thread twisted together to create a marbled color.

This Shiggy shirt is a vintageThis half-zip pullover incorporates the details of the "BIG YANK." The half-zip was popular among workers engaged in hard labor because it allowed for easy temperature regulation.

The smaller pocket on the front is a pocket called a cigarette pocket, which is a vintage detail from the time when cigarette boxes did not have film wrapped around them, to prevent the cigarettes from getting wet with sweat.

To make it as sturdy as a work shirt, triple stitching is used throughout the seams.

It also features a gusset with ears, a detail that was common in Big Yanks at the time.

In addition, the Shiggy Shirt is also available in a version made with JELADO's original fabric.

Just like the Last Resort fabric, this supreme chambray fabric was made by dismantling a VINTAGE "BIG YANK" chambray from JELADO's collection and thoroughly reproducing the characteristics of the original fabric, such as the thread count, number of threads per inch, uneven thread shape, and twist state.
