A coach jacket was originally a light outerwear worn by American football coaches. It became popular in the street scene after being favored by popular hip-hop artists, and many people began to incorporate it into their daily outfits.

It is also a popular item in American casual fashion.

There are various coach jackets with prints and so on.

 

The fabric used is 60% cotton and 40% nylon, known as 60/40 cloth. (60/40 cloth is a fabric woven with approximately 60% cotton for the weft and approximately 40% nylon for the warp, and is commonly called "rokuyon cloth" or "rokuyon" due to this ratio.)

The sample is a vintage item from Sierra Designs (founded in 1965 in California, USA, an outdoor brand that utilizes ideas and technologies cultivated through years of outdoor experience in backpacking equipment, offering high-performance and high-quality outdoor products), which invented 60/40 cloth.

The lining uses mesh, so it can be used as a coach jacket that feels like a shirt and can be easily worn on its own.
Please enjoy the traditional fabric of soft cotton and water-resistant nylon.
The cotton material allows for enjoyment of its aging, making it a great item to wear for a long time.

 This is the waist string.

Some of you may be wondering what the waist string is for.

I was curious too, so I looked it up.

The string is said to be for retaining warmth.

Tying and tightening the string prevents wind from entering from below. The silhouette changes, so please use it as you like.

The knot on the left side of the image is called a "slip knot".

If you search now, you can find videos of how to tie it on YouTube and other platforms, so please take a look for reference.

I think whether or not to remove the string is a matter of personal preference.

I also like coach jackets.

It can be layered, and I think the convenience of being able to just throw it on is its charm.

It's a great item whether you wear it loosely or true to size.

Another good thing about coach jackets is that you can pair them with any pants, whether slim or slightly wide.
