Well, today we are tailoring a serious N-1 jacket using "LASTRESORT DENIM", an original JELADO fabric from a collaboration with COLINBO.

 

 

 The brand name Colimbo comes from the waterfowl "Little Grebe" and reflects the excellent characteristics of the waterfowl's fine feathers. Their feathers have excellent water repellency and heat retention, and are used to protect them from the harsh cold and water in winter. Based on these characteristics, Colimbo responds to the demands of real outdoorsmen who work under harsh conditions and provides "tough products" that can be used for a long time.

Colimbo develops gear designed with a unique perspective, from outdoor equipment to military and mountain garments. Each brand has its own concept, and products are developed based on that concept.

This N-1 jacket was issued to the crew of U.S. Navy ships at the end of World War II. It is slightly longer than the short type, with a design that covers the waist, and the cuffs have been changed to a shape with built-in ribbing. The collar is a stand-up collar, and like the main body, it has a two-layer structure of fabric and alpaca lining, making it an excellent jacket for wind and cold protection. This is a faithful reproduction of the vintage, based on the model from the earliest of the three N-2 production lots.

By using the Last Resort white tag, we have created a special piece of clothing.

This jacket faithfully reproduces the nickel zippers seen on the early N-1 models, the loops on the lining sides at the hem, and the alpaca lining that extends to the cuffs. The denim used for the outer shell of this jacket has been one-washed, so it won't shrink excessively.

The more you wear it, the more you will enjoy the changes in the garment over time, making it a perfect match for chinos, bakers, etc.

Warp and weft threads are made of the same raw cotton as the white tag (warp EMOT Latitude California Pima ) We created a yarn, but the warp threads were specially crafted to make the neps more likely to fly out, creating a more uneven texture.

By creating strong unevenness, you can create a long vertical fade.
When I looked at the vintage items I was targeting, the dullness of the weft thread was quite noticeable. The color of the cotton at that time looked more like a yellowed ecru than white.
We decided to create the yarn to achieve the desired depth of color, then dye it and weave the fabric.
By changing to a different dyeing factory than the white tag, the colors are completely different.
The height of the rope and the dyeing process vary depending on the dyeing factory, so the color also changes.

And because of this difference in process The white tag 14OZ black tag 15OZ The weight of the fabric has also changed.
And by dyeing the denim eight times, we were able to create a deep, dark blue hue. This denim has a deep color and a wild texture with a lot of unevenness, making it a model that seeks a more heritage feel. "LASTRESORT DENIM black tag"I decided to use it as.
It has a wilder look and texture, but it will look better with wear. 2 As the days go by, the soft feel of the white tag will emerge and the pants will slide on smoothly and comfortably without any stress.
