As it's winter, many of you are likely enjoying various heavy outerwear.

So today, we'd like to introduce a unique heavy outerwear piece: a wool checkered sport jacket.

JELADO Wooster Sports Jacket [AG03409]

We recreated this jacket from the fabric up, based on a 1930s vintage sport jacket we own.

To reproduce the faded navy color of the vintage piece, the yarn was dyed a dark eggplant-like navy.

By spinning a blend of thick 7-count Merino wool and hard, tweed-type raw wool, we've woven a fabric with a coarse texture and firmness.

Furthermore, we've subjected it to fulling to give the fabric a resilient feel.

In addition, we've used a fan-shaped eyelet zipper, one of the most distinctive features of 1930s sport jackets. In the vintage market, sport jackets with eyelet zippers command significantly higher prices.

The elbow patches, cuffs, and pocket openings are made of brown-core horsehide, allowing you to enjoy their aging process.

JELADO also recommends a classic pre-war style, tucking in the inner layer and pairing it with suspenders.

This sport jacket, packed with 1930s charm, is definitely worth checking out in store!
