This is the "LASTRESORT DENIM," JELADO's finest masterpiece, a wild denim with a strong vintage feel.

This is JELADO's first 1ST TYPE denim jacket, using a black tag.
This season, we have changed the fabric from the 1ST model, which was originally made with ecru white tags, and reproduced it in indigo with black tags.
The LASTRESORT DENIM black tag is sewn on the inside of the pocket. This special 15oz denim was created using a new approach different from the white tag, by deconstructing and analyzing DEADSTOCK XX denim and reproducing it from the data of two DEADSTOCK pieces from similar eras, including the length of the cotton fibers, thread thickness and twist count, and fabric density.
The distinguishing features of the 1st type, such as a single pocket with a flap, a single-sided tab, five buttons, cuff buttons on the inside, and a back strap, are all faithfully reproduced.
When distinguishing between early and late 1st types, the early type had a cinch buckle and the box stitching that holds the pleats would cause the button height to shift. This is similarly reproduced with different button and stitch heights, and the cinch buckle is also a needle-cinch buckle, reproducing the early type.
Since the black tag was created as a fabric from before the 1940s, it approaches a similar era.
Compared to the 2nd Type, the collar attachment is separated on the left and right, and the sleeve attachment forms a T-shape when laid flat. These details have been adopted to a comfortable extent.
Similar to our vintage pieces, the lap-felled seams are made with #20 sewing thread, and the main seams are made with #30 sewing thread.
The leather patch uses horsehide, the rayon tab has single-sided embroidery, the original iron buttons are plated, and the original copper rivets are all meticulously crafted.
Due to production specifications, sizes L and above, where the fabric width is insufficient, will have a T-back specification.

～LASTRESORT BLACK TAG～
This is the ultimate denim, created by disassembling DEAD STOCK at the time, and analyzing it at a certain analysis institution to determine the length of the cotton fibers, the thickness and twist count of the yarn, and the number of threads per inch of the fabric. From the data of two DEAD STOCK pieces from similar eras, we selected raw cotton that matched those figures, spun the yarn, and wove it on a 1950s loom with the same thread count.
By creating this denim, we were able to deeply understand the characteristics of XX denim at the time, such as the quality of the yarn and the feel of the fabric, and the differences from modern denim.
Among these, if we were to talk about a clear process that we dared not touch when reproducing XX, it would be "color."
LASTRESORT Black Tag was created to reproduce the color and texture of denim woven under conditions where spinning technology was less developed and yarn quality was poorer than today, in order to achieve a vintage-like color.
The same raw cotton as the white tag (EMOT for warp, California Pima for weft) was used to create the yarn, but the warp yarn was deliberately processed to make slubs more prominent, resulting in a stronger unevenness.

This is a denim jacket with attention to materials.
By making the unevenness strong, vertical fading can be extended.
Looking at the vintage items that were targeted, the dullness of the weft color was noticeable. The color of the cotton at that time looked more like a yellowish ecru than white.
We decided to create the yarn with this depth of color in mind, then dye it and weave the fabric.
By changing the dyeing factory from the white tag, the color is completely different.
The height of the rope and the dyeing process also differ depending on the dyeing factory, so the color expression changes.

And due to this difference in process, the white tag is 14OZ and the black tag is 15OZ, resulting in a difference in fabric weight.
Also, by deliberately dyeing it 8 times deeply, it turned out to be a denim with a deeper, richer blue hue. We decided to use this denim's deep color and strong, uneven, wild denim as the "LASTRESORT DENIM Black Tag" model, seeking a more heritage-like texture.
It has a wilder appearance and fabric touch, but after wearing it for two days, the soft comfort like the white tag comes to the forefront, transforming into a smooth, stress-free wearing experience.

It's getting hot now, so I think you can wear it again around October.

I also bought it at the end of December last year and wore it until about March.

As shown in the photos below, the black tag setup is good, but it's also great that it can be coordinated with 41khaki and 41 covert.

I wear a size L, and there's enough room to wear a sweatshirt underneath.

In winter, I recommend wearing a sweatshirt or hoodie underneath, and in spring, a T-shirt or long-sleeve T-shirt.

I'm looking forward to the season when I can wear it again and enjoy its aging process.

I think the 41 khaki stencil coordination also looks cool.
