Today, I would like to introduce the black tag denim jacket and jeans that are scheduled to arrive soon.

JELADO Age of Longing Black Tag 407EXX Size34(XS)~38(M) Denim JKT【JP94407E】Price ¥42,900 (tax included)

"LASTRESORT DENIM" is JELADO's masterpiece, a wild denim with a strong vintage feel.

This is JELADO's first 1ST TYPE denim jacket, using a black tag.
The fabric has been changed from the first 1ST model, which was made with white tag ecru this season, and it has been reproduced in black tag indigo.
The LASTRESORT DENIM black tag is sewn inside the pocket. This is a special 15oz denim made with a new approach different from the white tag, recreated from denim that was disassembled and analyzed from DEADSTOCK XX.
The characteristic features of the 1st type, such as the single pocket with flap, single-sided tab, 5 buttons, inside cuff buttons, and back strap, are all faithfully reproduced.
When dividing this 1st type into early and late periods, the early period had a needle-punched buckle, and the box stitching that fastens the pleats was misaligned with the button height. Therefore, this model reproduces the early period with the same varied button and stitch heights and a needle-punched back strap.
Since the black tag is made as a fabric from before the 40s, it uses a similar period approach.
Compared to the 2nd Type, the collar attachment is separated on the left and right, and the sleeve attachment forms a T-shape when laid flat. We incorporated these details to a wearable extent.
Similar to our vintage pieces, the rolled seams are sewn with 20 count thread and the main seams with 30 count thread.
The leather patch is made of horsehide, with a single-sided embroidered rayon tab, plated original iron buttons, and solid copper original rivets, all meticulously crafted.
Due to production specifications, sizes L and above, where the fabric width is insufficient, will be a T-back specification.

 ～LASTRESORT BLACK TAG～
This is the ultimate denim woven on a 50s loom, where we disassembled DEAD STOCK denim from that era and had a certain analytical institution determine the length of the cotton fibers, the thickness and twist count of the threads, and even the number of weft threads per inch. Based on data from 2 pieces of DEAD STOCK from similar periods, we selected raw cotton to match those figures, created the threads, and wove them with the same number of weft threads.
By creating this denim, we were able to deeply understand the characteristics of XX denim from that time, such as the quality of the yarn and the texture of the fabric, as well as the differences from modern denim.
Among these, if I were to talk about a clear process that we deliberately avoided mentioning in our mission to reproduce XX, it would be "color."
LASTRESORT black tag was created to reproduce the texture and color of denim woven under conditions where spinning technology was less developed and yarn quality was poorer than today, in order to achieve a vintage-like color.
We used the same raw cotton for the warp and weft as the white tag (warp: EMOT, weft: California Pima) to create the yarn, but we processed the warp so that slubs would easily pop out, creating a stronger unevenness.

This denim jacket is made with carefully selected materials.
By adding strong unevenness, vertical fading can be prolonged.
Looking at the vintage fabric we targeted, the dullness or prominence of the weft color was striking. The cotton color of that time looked more like yellowish ecru than white.
We decided to create the yarn with this depth of color in mind, then dye it and weave the fabric.
By changing to a different dyeing factory from the white tag, the color is completely different.
The height of the rope and the dyeing process vary depending on the dyeing factory, so the resulting color also changes.

And because of this difference in process, the white tag is 14oz and the black tag is 15oz, resulting in different fabric weights.
The dyeing process was also intentionally deep, dyed 8 times, resulting in a darker, deeper blue denim. This denim, with its deep color and wild unevenness, was chosen to be used as “LASTRESORT DENIM black tag” as a model that seeks a more heritage feel.
While it has a wilder look and fabric touch, after 2 days of wear, the soft comfort of the white tag comes to the forefront, transforming into a smooth, stress-free wearing experience.

I am planning to wear a set of my favorite denim black tag 301EXX this winter.

It's coming in soon, so I'm looking forward to it.

The good thing about denim jackets is that the aging comes out nicely, and I think it's great that you can wear them for a long time.

It's also good that you can wear another outer layer over a denim jacket, or you can wear the denim jacket as the main outer layer.

I've been wearing these jeans since April, so about 7 months have passed.

The color is gradually fading.

In my case, I hand-washed them about 3 times.

I have not washed them in a washing machine.

I'm also wearing them 2 inches up.

I think it's good to wear them just right or to wear them up an inch.

The denim has a straight silhouette that is not too wide, with an exquisite width.

The comfort is also getting softer, so I think it will be a pair you can wear for a long time.
