One of the highlights of this season, the Monkey Pants, has arrived. So, this time, we will delve into the M-44 Monkey Pants of the USMC (United States Marine Corps), which are currently experiencing a surge in market value.
Monkey Trousers【CT11344】
The biggest feature of the Monkey Pants is the large pocket on the back, designed to store rations and grenades. We have, of course, recreated this feature.
What are Monkey Pants?
The M-44 Monkey Pants are a model developed in 1944, at the end of World War II, and are attractive for their unique design and functionality.
They were manufactured for a very short period, from July 1944 to October 1945, and were supplied to the U.S. Marine Corps, a small elite unit. Due to the limited production run, these pants are extremely rare and highly valuable.
Monkey Pants were designed for field use, with a focus on ease of movement during crawling and leaning forward.
The fabric is herringbone twill, also used for the CM47 (Baker Pants), specially dyed for the Monkey Pants.
Herringbone twill is a twill weave fabric named for its resemblance to the skeleton of a herring fish when splayed open. By varying the twist of the yarn, it creates a durable fabric with prominent ridges.
Because it is dyed with vat dyes, similar to vintage pieces, it will fade with wear, allowing you to "grow" your own unique pair.

The Rebel Jacket
is a classic JELADO
rider's jacket that has been a staple for many years.
To create a simple rider's jacket,
the epaulets have been removed.
Furthermore, instead of quilting,
cupro is used to make it easier to put on and take off,
making it a comfortable piece to wear.
Made from 1.6mm thick leather with a semi-aniline finish, it offers a softness not found in 100% pigmented leather. This "tea core leather" will develop a beautiful aged appearance with repeated wear.

These are baker pants made from "herringbone twill" fabric,
adopted in 1947.
※ What is Herringbone?
"Herringbone" =
"herring (fish)" and "bone"
The pattern is derived from the bones visible when a herring
fish is splayed open.
Baker pants were worn both in battle and
during desk work.
It is also said that the name "Baker Pants" came from
bakers wearing them.
Being herringbone twill fabric,
it is thick and durable.
Since it's 100% cotton, you can also enjoy its aging process
with repeated wear.

On Monday, March 24th, at 6 PM, in a YouTube video released by Gaikiroku CH,
JELADO representative, Mr. Goto, was featured.
