We have received the 'LAST RESORT CHINO CLOTH' in Khaki.

 

This is a new color for 41 Khaki.

Since the Olive color will be available for sale from 12 PM tomorrow,

I am writing this blog to introduce it to you before anyone else,

hoping you can purchase it as soon as it arrives.

 

The particularities of the 41 Khaki chino pants are...

 

① Raw cotton is American 'Deep South Cotton.'

 

※ What is the Deep South?

It refers to the southernmost region of the United States,

comprising five states: South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama,

Mississippi, and Louisiana.

This area is suitable for cotton cultivation and is also known as the 'Cotton Belt.'

The economy of the Deep South was centered on cotton,

and it supported its economy by exporting large quantities to Europe.

 

② Disassembled deadstock M41 Khaki and produced specialized fabric using threads made from scratch.

 

As mentioned above, we analyzed the yarn thickness,

unevenness, twist count, and direction, and

created the yarn from scratch. Then, using that yarn,

we produced 'Last Resort Chino Cloth' with a 'shuttle loom.'

This is a shuttle, a tool used to pass the weft yarn between the warp yarns.

 

Both Last Resort Denim and Last Resort Chino Cloth use shuttle looms.

 

③ Unlike the previous 41 Khaki, the dye has been changed.

 

While the previous 41 Khaki used 'reactive dyes,'

the new 41 Khaki uses 'vat dyes.'

 

Regarding these two dyes,

'reactive dyes' are generally considered superior in quality. However,

the reason we used 'vat dyes' is because they were excellent in terms of

colorfastness, resistance to friction and sunlight at the time,

and also to allow for the enjoyment of aging like in vintage pieces.

Therefore, vat dyes were adopted for the new 41 Khaki.

 

Based on vintage M41 Khaki,

we meticulously crafted JELADO's 'Last Resort Chino Cloth' from scratch.

Personally, I am looking forward to the first Olive color of 41 Khaki.

I expect it to develop a beautiful character after being worn and washed thoroughly.
